Compassion Creates Connection
Everyone Has A Backstory
And I Can Help You Bring That Story to The Forefront
Dr Asha Rani is a practicing periodontist in NYC. She received her dental degree from the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine in 2003 and completed her periodontal residency training at the Manhattan VA Hospital. Through her years of surgical practice it became apparent that patient care went far beyond simply diagnosis and treatment. It has become her mission to integrate wellness into dentistry and incorporate a more holistic approach to relieve patient anxiety. Asha brings her joy for dance and meditation into her practice and has a compassionate connection that is rarely seen in healthcare.
In addition to private practice, she is a professor for a conscious implant training program which teaches implant surgery to dentists in the Dominican Republic. While abroad, she also volunteers her services to participate in Revive Mission, a dental mission serving the underprivileged communities in remote villages of DR.
Asha is passionate about integrating personal wellness into daily life. She completed a training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and lectures on mindfulness to dental students and residents who treat PTSD patients. She is also certified in Reiki Level 3 which is a form of alternative medicine to encourage emotional and physical healing.
Outside of dentistry, Asha enjoys writing and in 2023 she published her first book titled, Who Is She? It is a memoir/self-help book about the journey beyond being a mother, wife, and daughter. Her book was a #1 Best Seller on Amazon in addition to ranking #1 New Release in four categories. In addition to writing, she is also a public speaker and enjoys sharing life stories. She most recently took the stage at the SPEAK Event in New York, and continues to speak on topics important to her. She has also been featured in Authority Magazine, Dentistry for The Rest of Us, Sustainable Success, Permission to Kick Ass, She Believed She Could and Courage to Lead Podcast. As an entrepreneur and mother of three children, she strongly believes in the importance of self care and prioritizes her daily life with a complete mind body soul approach to wellness.
Who are you when you’re not being someone’s mother, wife, or daughter?
When you look in the mirror, who is that woman staring back? Is she able to live freely and speak her truth? Is she waiting for the right time to do the things she wants? Is she able to admit to her partner that she loves but is no longer in love? Is she able to make herself a priority and choose her happiness first?
If you’ve been waiting to silence the noise so you can hear the answers to these questions, then read these words. This is the story of one woman but the journey of many. She had it all, and yet still felt as if something was missing. Walking away from a twenty-five-year relationship and stepping out of the box of societal norms was just the beginning. The path of self-discovery and recreating a new story was the magical unfolding.
In this book, you will:
It’s not selfish to live the life you want. The real you is done waiting and is ready to emerge. You are more than the roles you play. It’s Time!

Book Launch Party Testimonials
Asha's personal account is a raw and unfiltered account of the pressure to perform in all these roles as a mom, daughter, wife, friend, and professional - and how it can just be overwhelming and quite frankly not that fulfilling. She dares to inspire the reader to ask if you want more out of your life, and do you have the courage to find your own true voice. In the process of being vulnerable and sharing her story, I think so many other women will feel empowered to ask themselves what they want, and allow themselves to get to know themselves on a much deeper level. It really is never to have courage to make a change that you want, and this book is extremely inspiring. I highly recommend this book!

I can relate to this book on so many levels and highly recommend this read! I loved reading about Asha's story as I could see so many parallels in my own life - strict Asian family, divorce, chasing the false fairytail story, shifting away from blame/ achieving/ perfectionism, and discovering more of who my authentic Self is. I really enjoyed the refelction questions she was asking herself, which made me reflect more about my own life. This book gave me the courage to live my own truth and take more leaps towards making my soul happy; rather than living for the approval of others. I feel like so many women feel this way and are in similar situations, yet live in silence. I hope this book gives you inspiration, courage, and the strength to stay true to your heart.

From the first chapter on, you know that this book is going to take you on a deeply honest, spirtual and incredibly moving ride as you begin to learn the story of this women's journey on the path to find her true self. It's inspirational, speaking the words aloud, many of us only wish or dream we had the courage to. The author is sending the message to all women that it's ok to put ourselves first. We are allowed to have dreams, to follow our inspirations, to be successful in ways that aren't measured by conventional society. Throughout the book, the author consistently reminds us that it's normal to have it all (or what seems to be it all from the outside) but yet feel as if you have nothing.
The author tells us the story of her amazing transformation from being what she was told and thought was the perfect version of herself to evolving into what was the true version of her perfect self that she finally had the courage to create on her own.
What a motivating story for every female to read and hear the message that it's ok to want more or in the author's words to be able to answer the question "Did I live my best life?"

This book really resonates with me about my own personal journey as a woman, daughter, spouse, mother, friend and professional. Being in my mid 40s, I now have enough distance and space from my earlier years to really reflect on, recognize, and understand the cultural and societal conditioning that played a role in the choices I’ve made and the path(es) I’ve taken and that have kept me from really knowing myself and my own desires for much of my earlier life. And frankly, it’s an ongoing struggle. It can be hard to hear our own voice and choose our needs above everyone else’s (family, friends, society) expectations. Asha’s willingness to open up about her own personal struggles on this front and her journey to reconnect with herself
is inspiring and serves to remind us that it’s never too late to start a new chapter.

Asha Rani's "Who is She?" is a raw, authentic memoir begging the questions that most women dare not even ask. Her relatable writing style allows any woman - regardless of the masks she currently wears - permission to look at her own life under the lense of truth, as well as permission not to, and without judgement. It is with her feminine gift of finding inner strength through vulnerability that I connected to her story, as I know many more women will as well. Well done.

Unbelievably inspiring, thought provoking and soul affirming!
Asha Rani has beautifully and profoundly opened the door for all women to explore the true meaning of self love, self worth, inner strength and courage. Through her journey, she has eloquently captured what it is to break the mold of traditions and expectations so that you can live your happiest and most fulfilled life.

As a young adult with so many decisions and plans, looking for direction, this book was a very beautiful read as it really thought me the importance of putting me first and loving myself. Kudos to the writer for be so courageous to share her story. I love and respect her for that.

This book is captivating in ways that brings to light the unvoiced desires of the typical women attempting to create their “best” life by the confirmation of others. These words validate the day to day unspoken emotions of women who feel they haven't fully utilized their life in the interest solely for themselves. This book leaves you motivated to finally take action on the thoughts you've had for so long. This book is a must read!

Asha’s journey shines a bright light on learning how to give and receive love starting with oneself. It reminds us that it’s never too late to listen to and validate our feelings, to stop moving in the direction others expect us to follow, and to allow our rebirth to occur as naturally and majestically as it was meant to be!

Dr. Asha Rani Shares the Key To Unlocking The Prison We Create For Ourselves
There comes a time in life when you know that the story is greater than your own and that it is the journey of many. Shedding light on the dark spaces we're afraid to go is pivotal to growing, learning, and moving forward. Sharing our life experiences with authenticity, power, and grace is our key to self love and the path to freedom. Asha Rani's mission is to create conversations that will inspire and empower others to step out of their comfort zone, let go of fear, and live their best life.
Dr Asha Rani graduated from The Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine in 2002. She continued her dental training at the Manhattan VA Hospital in New York where she was Chief Resident and completed her General Practice Residency Program and Periodontal Residency Training in 2007. She has been working in private practice in New York City for over twenty years and has a deep connection and compassion for her patients.
Dr Rani is a member of The American Academy of Facial Esthetics and is certified in Botox and Dermal Filler placement. She uses these procedures to relieve TMJ pain and headaches, discomfort from bruxism and grinding, and to help create a more esthetic smile profile.
The art of compassion and connection is what Dr Rani strives for when providing dental care. The concept of joy in a dental office is a paradox in the world we live in, yet as a periodontist, she understands the fear and anxiety that people have at even the thought of tooth pain and having someone work in their mouth.
During the Covid pandemic, the dental office was the last place anyone wanted to be. There were less patients coming in which also meant more free time. The panic in the air and the stress level for everyone was beyond measure. The vibrancy of life came back to the office the day she decided to incorporate her personal joy for dancing and meditation into her dental treatment. In these moments, she shares a connection that is rarely seen in dentistry. Dancing with her patients, laughing, feeling calm, and celebrating life is what you'll find when you step into her world.

Reiki means Universal Life Force Energy and it refers to the practice of working with that energy. This energy animates the physical body and when it is flowing freely through our system, the body is at its fullest natural potential for strength, wellness, and vitality.
Reiki can be referred to as "light-touch energy healing". It is a gentle, non-invasive series of light touch hand positions along certain points of the body including the chakra locations along the spine. Reiki accelerates and supports the body's natural ability to heal itself. It helps reduce stress, promote balance, ease pain, facilitate the release of emotions, raise energetic vibration and supports the highest growth of the individual.
Asha trained and completed Reiki Level 3 under Reiki Master Michele Granberg in 2020.
She believes that the best certification of any form of natural healing is through the experience of the ones receiving it. What they feel, what they sense, and the peace they leave the session with are beyond words and priceless.
Asha has been a life saver. I was diagnosed with cancer last year and had an enormous amount of anxiety. Asha was a source of hope and gave me healing energy. I went to Asha three times and my tension and anxiety has been reduced. This was my first experience with reiki and it has enhanced my quality of life. Asha has such sincere desire to heal and her energy to do so emulates during the practice. Asha is truly a reiki master!!

When I had the pleasure of having a session with Asha I felt deeply relaxed which led me on a path to entering a deep meditative state. The entire session left me feeling very calm and relaxed. I also walked out of the session feeling emotionally balanced and energized. Thank you! I can't wait to schedule my next session!!!
-Helene F.
Suffering from back pain and overall discomfort from an emotional experience, I sought out reiki. Asha helped me to quickly fall into a deep state of relaxation and openness. I felt warm, comforted, and supported. I could feel being "unblocked" from head to toe. It was magical in so many ways. After my session, I was pain-free and felt lighter. I was able to move with ease and sleep a lot better. I highly recommend reiki for anyone who looks to practice self-care and self-love!
-Debbie B.
Asha has helped me through a difficult time in my life. She is such a caring and compassionate healer. After my Reiki sessions I felt relaxed and confident. I highly recommend Asha. You will not be disappointed.

I was a skeptic at first but open to learn more about Reiki as a practice in healing. After my first Reiki session with Asha there was just an overall sense of peace, calm, and weightlessness. My experience was exactly what I needed it to be, a moment to replenish the energy within.
- Alexandra V.
My first Reiki session ever was with Asha. I was not very familiar with this practice but I'm open minded and will give most things a try at least once. What I experienced was calmness, clarity, and the general sense of well-being that I had not felt in a long time. The unexplainable feeling of warmth and overwhelming emotions made me a believer in this form of energy healing and I greatly look forward to future sessions!
